Hurst Heritage Foundation

In 2001, Hurst Heritage Foundation was created to support ministries associated with First Baptist Hurst. The Foundation helps individuals and groups supplement the financial needs of their ministry projects and provide grants to qualified non-profit, mission-minded initiatives serving the cause of Christ. This long-term endowment will serve future generations to expand the work of the church family.

  • Kingdom impact is the focus and priority for the Foundation.
  • Grant applications are accepted for consideration twice per year.
  • To date, over 375 grants have been awarded totaling more than $437, 185.
  • Previously awarded grants include scholarships for Student Choir Tours, Beach Club at River Trails Elementary, Various Ministry Projects and Mission Trips.

How to Participate

Because of generous donors like you, the Foundation is able to further the mission of First Baptist Hurst by providing scholarships and funding to help students, families and individuals on mission, as well as various other ministry projects. Many of these opportunities would not be financially possible through normal tithes and offerings, but because of your generosity, we are reaching the globe with the message of Christ.

Individuals or corporations can designate Hurst Heritage Foundation as the beneficiary of a will or trust, or as a recipient of a cash gift or property at any time. A gift to the Foundation in memory or honor of an individual is a meaningful way to make a lasting gift that will be a living legacy for years to come. All gifts and bequests will be added to the foundation's discretionary fund and available for use in new grant requests.

In addition to the spiritual benefits of this type of gift, there are several potential tax benefits. Contact your financial advisor for details.

Anyone can participate, regardless of age, or size of estate. Every gift will be helpful in carrying out the ministries and missions of this congregation until The Lord returns.

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children…"
- Proverbs 13:22
