It’s not about the clothes you wear or the car you drive. It’s about warm relationships in a casual atmosphere where folks from all generations come together to exalt Christ through worship, to seek Him through prayer, and to grow in His Word through Biblical teaching.

<a href=”https://firsthurst.com/?page_id=196″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Preschool (Birth-Kindergarten)</a>

We believe it’s possible to share the love of Christ with a child from the day of their birth. So, in every lesson we teach, your child will learn a foundational Biblical truth that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.  Because safety is a high priority for us in caring for your preschooler, you’ll find carefully screened and trained volunteers, strict teacher-to-child ratios, and matching numbered security stickers.

We’re building foundations of faith in children through Christ-centered ministry that equips kids and families to know Christ, to grow in their walk with Christ, and to actively go and share Christ with others. On Sunday mornings, we have age-graded classes using an age-appropriate curriculum for each age group. Because safety is a priority for us, you’ll find multiple screened and trained volunteers in each classroom.

<a href=”https://firsthurst.com/?page_id=137″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Students (Grades 7-12)</a>

Other than being awesome and cool, we strive to point students toward a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ that lasts beyond their years in the Student Ministry. On Sunday mornings, we all meet together (7th-12th) in the Student area of each campus. We alternate between large group teaching and teaching in small groups based on gender and grade.

In addition to leading students, we also strive to equip parents to be the primary disciple makers in their home. As much as we love discipling students, we will never get as much time with them as parents do.

As part of our worship services, we often celebrate the joy of baptism with those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Not only does it picture the Gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ); baptism also pictures the believer’s new spiritual life in a public commitment to follow the Lord.

Please email baptism@firsthurst.com if you’d like more information on baptism.

<a href=”https://firsthurst.com/?page_id=114″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Missions</a>

Here at First Hurst, we want to be a part of what God is doing all around the world. Our missions strategy is to simultaneously involve the church in reaching our community, state, continent, and the world through prayer, teaching, training, giving, and going. The last command Jesus gave was to go make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them how to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

It’s our passion to fulfill this command by sending mission teams and supporting mission efforts on all continents of the world. We seek to work with other missions, pastors, churches, missionaries, and organizations to make disciples in all the earth.
