From young adults just out of college up through those in their golden years, our Adult Discipleship Ministry provides meaningful relationships and a variety of Bible study opportunities in different settings and teaching/learning styles.
We also have additional ministry events that focus specifically on men, women, parenting, finances, recreation, etc.
Bible Study Groups
We truly believe that our life in Christ is a group project, so it’s vitally important for us to be connected with others in our church family. Belonging to a group of believers who are mutually committed to caring for one another, growing in their faith, and impacting others for Jesus Christ is what biblical community and groups are all about.
Our Bible Study Groups are ongoing medium-sized groups designed to encourage you through personal relationships to know and follow Christ according to His Word.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry serves to encourage and inspire all the women of First Hurst. It is our desire that you feel deeply connected to the Lord and to other women. We want you to live in community with us as we do life together! (Hebrews 10:24-25) All year long, we have opportunities for you to get plugged in so please join us. We can’t wait to meet you!
Men’s Ministry
It is our desire to grow in community and sharpen our faith through our Men’s Ministry. We seek to do this through weekly Bible studies, men’s events, and other fellowship opportunities. We hope you find a place to find close community through our Men’s Ministry.
Embrace Grace
This group provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support for single, young pregnant women who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower the church to be a safe and non-judging place for the girls to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt. It is a 12-week program that teaches them about God’s love and grace. We need your help! Do you know a young mom-to-be who would be encouraged by being a part of this program? Would you prayerfully consider coming alongside us as we launch this ministry and consider serving at the events that are a part of this program?

Re:generation
We all experience brokenness in life. At Re:generation, we believe that anyone can experience new life and freedom by working through steps of healing given to us by God through the Bible. All who are tired, broken or hurting are invited to come find recovery in Jesus Christ.
Re:generation is 12-step discipleship through recovery. By working through these biblical steps within an authentic community, people have found freedom from substance abuse, codependency, pornography, eating disorders, depression, fear, control, emotional/physical abuse, same-sex attraction, anger, obsessive thoughts, and many other personal struggles.
We know that not everyone who comes to Re:generation will enter understanding the Bible or believing in the God of the Bible. Re:generation is a safe place for anyone to honestly process questions and doubts. Our prayer is that you will find the same peace that we have found. God loves you. He wants to heal you and has a plan for you. All are welcome.

Disciple-Making Groups
The Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) tells us to “go and make disciples,” but have you ever wondered how to do that? In our Disciple-Making groups, you’ll receive the resources to help simplify everything needed to “go and make disciples.” These groups are for everyone—from the new believer to those who have been in church 70 years.
