Crossroads Student Choir
The student music ministry of First Hurst serves this purpose: to use music to not only worship God, but to represent who He is to those around us. Crossroads is made up of 7th-12th grade students and is open to anyone who is called to serve our Lord through music. The choir meets most Sunday evenings at 5pm and participates in our Norwood Campus worship services on various Sundays throughout the year. Additionally, the Crossroads Student Choir performs an annual True Love Concert each February and serves on a mission trip each summer.
Special Events
Disciple Now
This in-town weekend retreat is designed to take students to a deeper level in their relationship with Christ through powerful worship experiences and the opportunity to focus on spiritual disciplines (hence discipleship) such as fellowship, evangelism, missions, and prayer. Disciple Now in January on the weekend of MLK Day. Find out more.
Crossroads True Love Concert
The Crossroads Student Choir hosts this special evening each year near Valentine’s Day in preparation for their summer choir tour and mission trip. Music for the tour is presented, and the evening also serves as a fundraising event toward the cost of the summer trip.
C2
Each summer, the Crossroads Student Choir along with others who have gone through special task training embark on an adventure that is part mission trip, part concert tour, and part summer camp. Contact Mark Garner for more details.
Parents
As a Student Ministry, we recognize that our ministry is not only to students. It's also our desire to partner with parents in discipling their students, while at the same time, ministering to them, the parents, throughout the journey. We strive to do this through various opportunities throughout the year.
