From young adults just out of college up through those in their golden years, our Adult Ministry provides meaningful relationships and a variety of Bible study opportunities in different settings and teaching/learning styles. We also have additional ministry events that focus specifically on men, women, parenting, finances, recreation, etc.
We truly believe that our life in Christ is a group project, so it’s vitally important for us to be connected with others in our church family. Belonging to a group of believers who are mutually committed to caring for one another, growing in their faith, and impacting others for Jesus Christ is what biblical community and GroupLife is all about. The Women's Ministry serves to encourage and inspire all the women of First Hurst. It is our desire that you feel deeply connected to the Lord and to other women. We want you to live in community with us as we do life together! (Hebrews 10:24-25) All year long, we have opportunities for you to get plugged in so please join us. We can't wait to meet you!
This group provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support for single, young pregnant women who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. The primary goal of Embrace Grace is to empower the church to be a safe and non-judging place for the girls to run to when they find out they are pregnant, instead of the last place they are welcomed because of shame and guilt. It is a 12-week program that teaches them about God's love and grace. We need your help! Do you know a young mom to be who would be encouraged by being a part of this program? Would you prayerfully consider coming along side us as we launch this ministry and consider serving at the events that are a part of this program? If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved directly with us at First Hurst, please contact Stephanie via email - EmbraceGrace@FirstHurst.comor call 682.292.8152. These groups meet weekly throughout the year for Bible study, encouragement, prayer and accountability. If you are interested in being a part of a small group of men who are doing life together, growing in their walk with the Lord, and encouraging each other throughout the week, contact Ryan Walling.
Men of Prayer (MOP)
We know that God answers prayer, and we like to flank our prayer with good food, fun, and fellowship. Come join us each Thursday morning (Fridays during the summer) at 5:45am in the Fellowship Hall for prayer and breakfast. If you have any questions, please contact Lee Ferguson.
