A casual fit...that's a great way to describe our worship here at First Hurst. It's not about the clothes you wear or the
car you drive. It's all about practical, uplifting messages, warm relationships, great music, and a casual atmosphere where folks from all generations come together and get spiritually recharged. Join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30am or 11:00am.

Preschool (Birth-Kinder)

We believe it's possible to share the love of Christ with a child from the day of their birth. Here's what you can expect each week in Preschool ministry.

Foundational Truths

In every lesson we teach, your child will learn a foundational Biblical truth that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Checkin begins 15 minutes before each worship service. First-time guests will need to fill out a registration card. You'll then receive a numbered security sticker which serves as your child's name tag. You'll also receive a matching numbered security tag which is required to retrieve your child later. This numbered tag also helps us notify you in case of a medical or behavioral issue.

Because safety is a high priority for us in caring for your preschooler, you'll find carefully screened and trained volunteers, strict teacher-to-child ratios, and matching numbered security stickers.

Please label all of your child's belongings. Prepare your baby's bottle in advance, as volunteers do not spoon feed infants. Also note that we discourage children bringing their own toys into the class, as it is easy for them to be misplaced or forgotten.

Children with Special Needs

We provide a number of different options for children with special needs. Please contact Kellie Charbonneau, Pastor of Preschool Ministries, before your visit to get more information.

The Preschool area is on the northwest side of the campus, to your immediate left as you enter through the west covered drop-off entrance.

Children (Grade 1-6)

We're building foundations of faith in children through Christ-centered ministry that equips kids and families to know Christ, to grow in their walk with Christ, and to actively go and share Christ with others. Safety is a priority for us, so you'll find multiple adults in each children's classroom.

The Children's area is located on the southwest side of the campus, to your right as you enter through the west covered drop-off entrance. We have age-graded classes at 9:30am & 11:00am using curriculum appropriate for specific age groups. First-time guests will need to fill out a registration card. You'll then be escorted to your child's class, where children are individually signed in.

Students (Grades 7-12)

Our philosophy of ministry is:

For Students:  Other than being awesome and cool, we strive to point students toward a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ that lasts beyond their years in the Student Ministry.

For Parents:  Our goal is to equip parents to continue to be the primary disciple makers in their home. As much as we love discipling students, we will never get as much time with them as parents do.

We all meet together (7th-12th) at 9:30 in the Student area, located on the northeast side of the campus. We alternate between large group teaching and teaching in small groups based on gender or grade.
