River Trails Campus

First Hurst is now ministering in the River Trails community. Here's what you can expect at the new River Trails Campus.

A casual fit...that's a great way to describe our River Trails Campus. It's not about the clothes you wear or the
car you drive. It's all about practical, uplifting messages (and by the way the preaching is live and in person, not on a screen), warm relationships, great music, and a casual atmosphere where folks from all generations come together and get spiritually recharged. Join us for worship on Sundays at River Trails Elementary.

Family Worship, Last Sunday Of Each Month

It's not only important for families to worship together, but for children to see their dad and mom worship. The last Sunday of each month is Family Worship...meaning that our children 1st through 6th grade and our students 7th through 12th grade join us for the whole worship gathering. Normally, these groups are dismissed each week for their own time of fun, fellowship and Bible study.

LIFE Groups

LIFE Groups are the life blood of this campus. As followers of Christ our lives are meant to be lived out in community, therefore it's our hope that everyone who calls The Trails Campus home will be involved in one of these groups. These groups meet at various times throughout the week in local neighborhood homes.  Feel free to contact the leaders below to find the fit that is best for you.

Preschool & Children

Preschool & Children

We believe it's possible to share the love of Christ with a child from the day of their birth. Here's what you can expect each week in Preschool ministry.

Foundational Truths

In every lesson we teach, your child will learn a foundational Biblical truth that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Checkin begins 15 minutes before each worship service. First-time guests will need to fill out a registration card. You'll then receive a numbered security sticker which serves as your child's name tag. You'll also receive a matching numbered security tag which is required to retrieve your child later. This numbered tag also helps us notify you in case of a medical or behavioral issue.

Because safety is a high priority for us in caring for your preschooler, you'll find carefully screened and trained volunteers, strict teacher-to-child ratios, and matching numbered security stickers.

Please label all of your child's belongings. Prepare your baby's bottle in advance, as volunteers do not spoon feed infants. Also note that we discourage children bringing their own toys into the class, as it is easy for them to be misplaced or forgotten.

Children with Special Needs

We provide a number of different options for children with special needs. Please contact Kellie Charbonneau, Pastor of Preschool Ministries, before your visit to get more information.

The Preschool area is located to your left as you enter through the north lobby entrance.

We're building foundations of faith in children through Christ-centered ministry that equips kids and families to know Christ, to grow in their walk with Christ, and to actively go and share Christ with others. Safety is a priority for us, so you'll find multiple adults in each children's classroom.

The Children's area is located in the gymnasium to your right as you enter through the north lobby entrance. Kids attend the first part of the Worship service on Sunday mornings and are then dismissed to meet in age-graded break-out groups using curriculum appropriate for specific age groups. First-time guests will need to fill out a registration card to turn in at the Children's registration desk. All kids will need to be checked in using KidCheck.

Based on Acts 2:42, the two42 Student Ministry focuses on understanding Scripture, building community, Christ's passionate pursuit of individual students, and students discovering God's desire for their lives.

Students at the River Trails campus attend the first part of the Worship service on Sunday mornings and are then dismissed for their own time of fun and Bible study. Pin Groups meet in a neighborhood home during the week for fun and a small-group Bible study.
