Preschool Leadership,

Thank you for your commitment to our children this year and for being such a vital part of teaching them to set their hope in God. It has been exciting to see the many ways God is working in the lives of the kids as they learn more and more about His character.

I want to share with you an exciting change in the Preschool Ministry here at First Hurst. This will impact not only our Preschoolers but our church as a whole. It is with great joy that I share with you that beginning in August we will start using the Desiring God Children’s Curriculum. It is with much prayer and counsel that we are changing to this solid curriculum. This curriculum will enable us to present our children the same God-centered Foundational Truths in a much better teaching format for you. This curriculum is very structured. It will give you the tools you need to teach your class about our awesome God. We have the entire year of curriculum in our hands! How great will it be to be able to plan as far out as you would like.

Here is an interview that is designed specifically for teachers. It is an interview with the Children’s Desiring God Curriculum writer, Sally Michael. Please listen to the interview before you meet for training.

We will meet for training with the individual departments as listed below. Your attendance is critical to the implementation of this new curriculum. Please let me know if you cannot meet at your scheduled time and I will meet with you personally to conduct training.
