LIFE Connections are what we are all about at First Baptist Hurst. To us life is a precious gift from God not to be wasted, but to be lived with purpose and passion in pursuit of bringing glory and honor to His name. Connection simply carries the idea that God designed us to be in fellowship with other believers. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He responded by saying, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matt.22:37-38) Simply stated that means we are to love God and love people! In other words, connection is the stuff of life and what we believe the church should be about too. The account of the beginning of the early church in Acts 2 shows us that LIFE Connections were taking place at every turn... connections with God... connections with other believers... connections with those that needed Jesus' life changing message.
It is our hope and passion to see people experience these LIFE Connections. We invite you to come join us in this life journey and get connected! Check out our LIFE Connection Classes below.
God Bless,

The Couple Connection is a Life Connection class for couples in their twenties or thirties. We study what the Bible says about our marriages, raising kids, finances, relationships, and things that concern the lives of couples. We also study different books of the Bible and show how they are relevant to our lives. We pray for each other's needs and share in each other's joys. |

The Connection Class is a diverse group that comes together each Sunday to connect with each other and study God’s Word. We are blessed to have members that care about each other, our community and world and share themselves when needs arise. After class each Sunday an email is sent to the class distribution list highlighting what happened in class and listing the prayer requests that were shared. During the week, if someone has a prayer request or a need to share with the class, the information can be emailed to the email coordinator for distribution. You can find out more about the class by going to our class website. Members of the class use this site to read summaries of class lessons, read and enter prayer requests, and to see the schedule of coming class activities. |

The Freedom Class is an interesting collection of people. We vary in ages from retirees to parents of pre-teens. We have a varied collection of backgrounds, interests, and hobbies. What we share, though, is a common belief that we are all in constant need of God's guidance. We share a need to know God more deeply, and to support one another through prayer and action. We share a love of fun and fellowship with one another. We would love to share all this with you. Come get to know us. |

The name of our community comes from the diversity of our people and from the symbolism of a broken and fragmented humanity which can become a work of beauty blended by God. We welcome people from all walks of life, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. Come to Mosaic, and discover how all the pieces can fit together! |

No putting on airs, no games and no fakes; we are the real-deal growing body of Christ who love each other, encourage each other, support each other and challenge each other. You in?! |

We are a class focused on Christ, attempting to draw from God's word. How to represent Christ to those we come in contact with everyday. We enjoy fellowship with one another and drawing on each other's experiences. As mostly parents of adult children, we have reached a point in our lives where we draw on our relationship with God to try to impact our extended families. |
