Mature Adult Ministry
This very active ministry serves folks about 65 and older. With a strong focus on our faith, a commitment to pass on what we've learned, and even a steady schedule of activities, we're all about continuing to serve without letting age become an obstacle.
Living a Legacy
We certainly have many fun and exciting things planned each year. Always on our hearts, though, is the importance of learning, and then taking what we learn and passing it on to others. We want to live a legacy, not just leave one.
Hebrews 5:14 -- But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
So let's help others in their walk!
Philippians 3:12-16 -- Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
We're always striving to be truly MATURE adults, as this accrostic reminds us.

Excited to tell others about God
On the 24th of each month, we take part in a special activity. It's different every month, but always a fun time. It may be as simple as gathering for lunch, a road trip to visit an out-of-state museum, or even going out to ride go-karts. Be sure to check the calendar for the next event. Many of the 24 adventures require a sign-up, and you don't want to miss out.
Upcoming Event Dates:
February 24 Fuddruckers in
March 24 Old Red Museum,

April 24 Top of the Hill Terrace $5 per person

On the 16th of each month, a group of 16 sign up to have a meal at the home of the Mature Adult Pastor. This is a great opportunity to visit in a small group setting.
Many of the folks in our ministry take part in a special choir just for mature adults. The Encore Choir sings during our congregational worship on various Sundays throughout the year, usually focusing on songs that are often forgotten in today's modern society. Several weeks of rehearsals are scheduled prior to those Sundays. We strive to be a church of and for all generations, and this is a great way that our more mature generation continues serve and help lead the church in worship.
